Now the weather is getting chilly in Australia, there is no better time to change up your bedroom look to complement the colder climate. We asked our stylist, Kelly Larkin to share some of her styling tips for autumn/winter 2021 using one of our most popular quilt covers of the season, Dendy Black.

It’s Versatile

“Being monochrome, Dendy Black is a great style to choose if you want something timeless. It can add moodiness to your space, while the bright pops of colour and floral accents still bring warmth to the room.” Kelly says.

For a touch this season, we suggest pairing this quilt cover with darker accents – perhaps an armchair or bedside table to subtly extend the darker palette throughout the bedroom without being overpowering. Another great way to add dimension to your space is to play with texture. We’ve used a textured floor rug which doesn’t detract from the quilt cover but provides a natural element to the room. The best part about Logan & Mason’s quilt covers is they are reversible, so depending on the space, you quite easily alternate between the two.

It’s easy to pair with accessories and bedheads

Kelly suggests using a pop of dusty rose, black and gold to accentuate the patterns in this cover. When adding accessories like cushions and bed heads, Kelly suggests keeping it minimal. “Less is more when it comes to accessories. I would suggest selecting cushions in varying shapes and sizes in a matching colour scheme, like pink or cream.” Bed heads are also a great way to style a room. Adding an upholstered bed head in a minimal colour (grey or pink) can help create coordinated contrast in a very stylish way.

Fun to Style

The quilt cover is responsible for bringing the room to life. Have fun playing with different style elements like pots, plants and tables to highlight the colours in the floral patterns. “I love using art to draw the eye across the room and to add a bit of flair to the space - a black and white print would work well here, or an artwork with similar colours.” To add more texture to the room, vases with fresh or dried flowers, table lamps, and chunky wool or knitted throws can add a more homely feel.
