An eco-friendly way to wrap gifts this festive season

We all love gifting our friends and families at Christmas, but if an overflowing bin filled with wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbons and bows makes you uneasy, it might be time to consider a different approach to wrapping this festive season.

To simplify your gift wrapping and be more environmentally friendly this Christmas, here are our top tips to turn your pillowslip into the ultimate gift-wrap.

To start you will need one pillow slip of your choice and your gift. Colours and patterns will be fun here. Also keep in mind, your gift will need to be small enough to be covered on all sides to make sure it is kept nice and snug.

Lay your pillowslip flat and place your item in the centre of the slip on an angle as shown in step 1 below.

Now, simply grab one corner and place it over the item, and then do the same for the opposite corner. Your item should now be covered as shown in step 2.

Here is the fun part. All you need to do now is take the two remaining corners of the pillowslip and tie them together in the centre. And that’s it! For a finishing touch you may like to slip a card, name tag or even a small decoration in the top and you’re ready to go.
